ABOUT THE AUTHOR

SB Williams is the Editor in Chief of ICICON Publishing and the Executive Producer of Neighborhood Planet (NPN TV, npntv.com), a civic media and broadcasting platform based in Saint Louis, Missouri. His work spans media production, publishing, civic engagement, and community education.

He is a direct descendant of Bishop W.D. Chappelle (1857–1925) — born enslaved, elected the 37th Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1912, and President of Allen University, namesake of a National Historic Landmark — and of Dr. Reden Reche Williams, a pioneering physician. This ancestral legacy of institutional leadership under impossible conditions is the living foundation of The Intelligent Black Man.
